Title: Noob Raid Team
Post by: FlamingNips on April 01, 2017, 12:53:52 AM
Anyone interested in a noob raid team? I have zero experience with raids but I do listen well.  Looking for other patient players.

*raises hand*

I'm up for raiding! Very patient but would have no clue what I was doing (other than from stuff I've seen on youtube).

Hi,

I would love to do some raids or even raid training but my times (I am in Australia) are very interesting so I might have to act as a reserve and only come occasionally depending on when you want to run. I have all professions at 80 and I am mainly playing my engineer, necro and warrior at this time. (Because I am collecting a heavy, medium and light set of ascended gear  :) ).Let me know though and I can bring one of the others up to scratch again - the only exception would be rev and I would need a bit more lead time for that because I haven't done much with her yet.

I am very very patient so I think I have that covered. The only other downside is that being so far away I do experience some lag issues which can be a problem - again the time of the run will determine how bad that is. This may make raids impossible but I have done wvw and pvp with it so I won't know until I try  ::)  On the other hand if you guys don't want to risk that I am happy to cheer you on from the sidelines!

Do you still have free slots? I'd love to join on my guardian. What raid/path/boss are we aiming for first?

We attempted the Vale Guardian today, managed to get him past first split phase. Overall it was a good start,a but for future runs I think we could use a little bit more healing - especially during learning attempts.

Next run will be on Thurstay, starting 7pm UK time. Before next run we all should read up on the fight an mechanics ;) Everyone who was in todays run and/or would like to keep trying to get the kill with us please post in this thread.

I would very much love to keep with the group. I do wonder if I should try minstrel stats to tank rather than Soldier. I do have nomad and soldier for my guard, and maybe commander. Any suggestions?

I'm still in as well! Been watching a few more "how to" vids. Totally recommend checking a few out if you haven't already. Makes a lot more sense now that I've experienced the fight for myself.

Hello fellow Kryatians,

I like the idea to build a casual raid group in order to be able to have some look on the bosses in the wings. For this occassion, I would like to list here the classes I can provide to build a viable composition for the next time.

The following:

Daredevil DPS Staff
Beserker Support Power or Condition
Chronomancer Tank or Support

Let me know which one you prefer the most so that I can preprare myself in a timely fashion. Especially for the warrior and mesmer since I need to know which runes are necessary. Looking up metabuild, they're using runes which I won't have access for the next few weeks. (aristocracy and leadership).

If you have alternatives to work around the gear let me also know pls.

Sincerely,
-Idrah (Ardi)

I can contribute my full zerker dps guardian. Sometime in the future i will gear up another class that will be in demand to add some more flexibility to the team, but it probably wont be raid worthy untill summer.

After a few almost succesfull attempts yesterday, i would like to try to pin this down as a regular event.

Every Friday from 20.00 UK time we will be trying for the VG or any other raidbosses in the future.

Members that i know of that will be present as much as possible: Merlinae, Cori, Carcasstro, Kastra.

For the RAID group it self i don't want to push ppl into classes or builds to much but we saw yesterday that we need a bit more dps and a fully healing magi druid.

Please respond below if u would be able and willing to give this a go.

Hiya, I've done only VG and tried Gorseval plus escort, and it was quite a while ago... But I'd like to join some time :) I'll try to keep track of the topic here to see when you're raiding, but if you could whisp me in game when you'll plan on raiding it would be awesome :)

I'm playing mainly ranger/druid on berserker set (asc) but I also have healer's stuff (exotic with asc accesories). Preferably longbow/staff, but I can also switch to shortbow or sword/axe (only if necessary, I don't feel comfortable with melee weapons and I'm not good at it). On my previous runs I was usually a healer. I think I was doing ok  :)
I have the other classes as well, but never tried them in raids. I think I could go as a necro, if needed, but I'd probably have to change gear a litlle as for now it's half zerk/half condi.

Acc. name is ewatres.1673, you can see me mainly as Bezglutek (ranger) or Szkocka Z Lodem (necro).

 :D Hi,

8pm UK Friday night is a great time for me - it translates to 5 or 6 am Sat morning so I can probably play if you still have some room. I will try and be on this week and see what happens. I have a condi engineer currently in rotation, a necro - again condi and a condi warrior. Hmmm I can see a theme developing here  ;D

But I can respec if needed and in addition I have all other professions at 80 and I think except for rev they are all elite unlocked - I would have to go back and check.

All my chars have Fae in the name and my account is shadowfall. There are two in psdh - the other one is my son who would also like to raid. He has a geared mesmer but has not fully unlocked the elite as yet. He will probably be up - he is an early riser - so it depends on what you guys need or want to go with,

Cheers
Fae

I would be interested in this, the time works for me and I can contribute my full ascended fresh air tempest or half ascended staff daredevil, so both dps.

I've done the VG and gorseval once recently so I kinda know how they work, but that is my only raid experience so far.

HI! :)

I'd like to join. I'm most familiar with daredevil having d/d(I can learn staff) with full marauder ascended gear.
I also play some tempest but it will require some serious gearing.
I have no previous experience with raiding so that would be my first time.

Hello all,

Im also eager to join a raid group (pick me),i'm a fast learner and can take some critisism.
I have a complete zerker build staff tempest, and a work in progress Viper Berzerker warrior, to offer your group (he is pretty cool. he loves doing condi TT).
As for my experience with my zerker tempest, im aware of my hp points and i am affraid of every red circle that may give me damage (this is my primairy character, some of you may know me from fractals. and i hope not for hugging the floor^^).

I have become very athletic and very gracious in my dodging over time, but that is because i always wanted to join the circus ^^

Sincerely yours,

Major Helios

PS. Zerker staff dude also has 2 ascended daggers, but he does not want me to mention that. <--Training
Scepter and warhorn <-- make ascended you bum

Hi Helios,
Although Nips and some others started this thread as a sort of wed like to have a go raid and i dont mind continuing it.
Most of us wanted to establish something a little more permanent. With a regular crew.

With that in mind we made another post the  https://psdh.eu/index.php?topic=1902.msg6119;topicseen#new if your interested please either let me know in game or post there.

We currently have 1 spot left but we will still need the odd substitute which we normally ask in PSDH chat on the friday night if we are short. I'll be around tonight but we may be short 2-3 of the regulars.

Anyway let me know.
