Title: after the training raids ... more practice
Post by: Cori on January 05, 2019, 01:20:53 PM
Well, we were getting pretty close to a VG kill by the end of the last one. We'll get there soon.

Which means, of course, we need to organise further attempts / practice. So, if we start making this a regular thing, who can come on what day of the week? And what classes / roles can they bring to the party?

I don't mind bringing either my chronomancer or my druid, and Nova has been kind enough to hand that spreadsheet over so we can organise properly if we have enough people.

So, who's interested?

Me and Kastra will be up for it on a friday evening most weeks.

I agree that this has to be a regular thing so coming firday would be perfect to try again.

Carcasstro = Chrono tank
Kastra = Tempest (staff)

Sure, count me in. For classes I can bring with optimal or nigh-optimal setups (as in meta gear and traits):

DPS:

- Herald
- Dragonhunter
- Power reaper

Support:

- Heal scourge
- Support tempest

Characters in progress/outdated builds:

- DPS chrono
- Power soulbeast
- Banner slave warrior

I'm in!

I can play healing druid or condition scourge. Almost full setups for both, more or less 50/50 exotic/ascended, but working on full ascended. Haven't played scourge in raids yet, but I was getting used to the class for the last few days, going pretty well.
As for the dates - I thought the ones on the spreadsheet are the ones proposed so signed myself there xD I should be able to join most Fridays and Saturdays.

Looking good so far, although we could be a bit short on healing. At least one more druid would be good.

Think we will aim for about 19:30 GMT if everyone can make it.

I'll plot out a provisional role for everyone tomorrow night and we'll see what we've actually got to work with come Friday.

Should be there

I'm up for continuing with the raids.

I've got a DPS Dragonhunter and looking into the support Firebrand also (although might need a bit of time to work that one out).

Working on a few other alts also so if there is anything specific we need it might focus me on a particular one to spec up.

Thanks  :)

All right then, this is looking good.

We'll gather on Friday looking to go in at 19:30.

Provisionally I'm thinking we will have:

Carcasstro - chrono tank
Me - off chrono
Nips / Bezglutek - healing druids
Sabetha - heal/res scourge
Kragon / Merl - condi DPS
Kastra / Thorien - general DPS

That leaves still one spot to fill. Depending on who we can grab beforehand (or if I'm told that plan is stupid) I might need to change that roster up slightly.

Also, if that turns out to be too much healing and not enough DPS we might have one of the healers switch. Be warned.

I'll see you all then!

I think we only need one druid, plus an off-healer.

I would suggest that Nips do heal scourge and let me go to general DPS (I would probably bring a herald to try and make it a little easier for our druid to upkeep might and fury), or Nips can also go for condi scourge (to help out with condi DPS on red during the split) and I can remain on my scourge.

I can highly recommend bringing a warrior, strength and disci banners are really nice buffs :)

Kragon is a warrior so that should be fine.

I don't mind trying with one druid; we should be fine without the healing, it's the loss of two spirits and one Glyph of Tides I'm not so sure about. We can see how it goes.

I think we done well last night and we got it to the 2nd split.

Next week another attempt at killing him.   :D

Agreed. By the end we were hitting the second split consistently; a little more practice and we'll be there.

I'll plan for another attempt at the same time this Friday. I think you all have access to the spreadsheet Nova produced for the training raids, so sign yourselves up for a slot on that and I'll see you all then.

Hi, I can return to the raiding/training business. Is there a spot left? Are you still doing them?

Any chance you've got space for one more?

My main is a condi firebrand, but I've got an alt for each profession and I can respec them as needed.
I've got zero previous raiding experience.
