Equipment

Rabid is obviously the best choice of armor for this build. Apart from the condition damage boost it also gives toughness for defense, and precision that is useful for phase 2.
I chose Superior Rune of the Krait as upgrade for the armor for two reasons; first it’s a really cheap rune with wonderful condition boosts; second, thanks to this rune, while attuned to Earth your main skill will deal almost 17 seconds of bleeding with every Stone Shards cast.

Rabid Trinkets are also used for this build. Regarding upgrades, I know what some of you might think, “Why did you choose Emerald? Why not Chrysocola or Coral?” for which I answer that both are a nice choice, but the reason I chose Emerald is that it helps during phase 2. You may choose any of the other 2 if you like.

If you are low on gold but have karma to spare, a full set of rabid armor can be bought from the Temple of Lyssa, while a full set of rabid trinkets (including back item) can be bought from the Temple of Dwayna.

Rabid weapons (naturally) are needed for this build for the same reason as the armor.  As far as sigils go I chose Superior Sigil of Corruption for the boost.
Sigil of Torment is my second choice of sigil because, come on guys it’s Torment, one of the strongest conditions in GW2 especially when considering how much running around the husks will be doing.


Skill Rotation

Traits chosen are quite straight forward so I don’t think it’s really necessary to go through them one by one, meaning that I will go straight to skills rotation.

Usually Elementalists are teamed with a Necromancer, so this guide will be written with that in mind.

• Start off by being attuned to Fire. When a husk spawns, summon a Frost Bow and wait for the Necro to pull the husk.
• When the husk has been pulled use the bow’s skill 4 (Ice Storm) on it and drop the bow.
• Use fire skills 2 (Dragon’s Tooth) and skill 4 (Ring of Fire) and immediately change to Earth.
• While attuned to earth, use skills 4 (Earthquake) followed by skill 3 (Dust Devil) and skill 5 (Churning Earth).
• Finish off by auto attacking while still attuned to Earth (Stone Shards). You can also use Signet of Earth and Signet of Fire whenever possible.
• When husk is dead, change back to Fire and wait for the next one to spawn where you will restart your chain.
• If helping during the burn phase (obviously in between husks) be sure to only use the Fiery Greatsword as conjured weapon, else it will screw up your chain for the next husk.
• During phase 2, replace Glyph of Elemental Harmony with Arcane Brilliance. Ignore the chain and Slap & Spank the wurm as much as you can.

I'm not that good at introducing myself so I'll keep it brief. My name is Elton from Malta and I'm, at the time this post was written, 28 years old. In-game everyone calls me Montu although to tell the truth I don't know where that name came from.

I started playing Guild Wars way back in 2005 when I received the game as a Birthday present and fell in love with the world of Tyria and it's lore. Back then I had an Elementalist named Mage Montu.
I've been playing Guild Wars 2 since the first open Beta. Although I have all 8 professions fully geared with exotics, my love for Elementalists remain meaning that my main is a Human Elementalist named Tristan Montu.

I'm not going to sugarcoat this. I initially joined PSDH because of the sure Tequatl rewards, but that got changed to respect for the organization skills the commanders have shown during the events and now am gladly joining for other events other than Tequatl.

PS: Even though I do not talk on TS, I'm always present during events, listening and judging =P (nah just listening and obeying commands) =P

As mentioned before I'm Elton from Malta. I'm not a hardcore gamer, in fact at the moment the only 2 games I'm playing are GW2 and Factorio. The only alcohol I drink is wine (mainly red although I sometimes drink white and rose) and I'm also a cheeseaholic.
