Introduce Yourself! / Hey There!

Hi there,
I’m a new ‘prospect’ that joined your guild last night. I thought I would give you a ‘hello!’ on the forums.
I’m known mostly by the shortened version of a handle I have had for a good 25 years now. Just call me ‘Ozzy’ all my friends (both in game and IRL do).
I’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 (on and off) since the first beta weekend three years ago, and before that I also played a fair bit of Guild Wars (completing all the campaigns from Prophesies -> Nightfall) sadly the WoW guild I was in at the time didn’t want to transition to GW, so I was left largely playing solo – so never got the biggest rewards possible (I proudly display ‘Rift Warden’ title on most of my GW2 chars!). I was a founder member of the Enigma Guild – a guild which I know Dragon Hunters has some cross over with.
My MMORPG history goes back to the heady days of Ultima Online Second Age, and since then have pretty much always had a MMORPG in the background. I consider myself a PC Gamer first, and an MMORPG player second. However I have spent more hours playing MMORPG than any other genre.
But my PC gaming experience goes back way before that. My first PC – was a Dragon 32, a home computer which sits in the science museum – ( that made me feel very old indeed! ). First game on that system I remember is a little game called ‘Pedro’ – that would be around 1982.
But even before then, I was messing about with an Binatone Pong game, Atari 2600’s, Nintendo Game Watch Games and of course Space Invaders and Defender Arcade machines at every opportunity!
Other than that, what can I say.. I’m 43 years young, male, also a Dad to two kids (sadly my eldest died last year) and a step dad to two more. I work as a SQL developer/analyst for the national building regulation and warranty provider in the UK (NHBC).
And of course I’m a self-confessed video game nut case.
