You are trading then some safety of the run for dps by cleaning less and thus having less movement space.

Never seen a group doing mushrooms in an cross.  Usually mid strat just takes the left mushroom from the wall on a straight line between mushrooms while clearing also the side from time to time.
1does some of the yellow then follows green,  4 is the same on green (I usually clean also the starting spot), 3 seems the same,  2 goes across to the yellow line to the third mushroom maybe with some side clearing. There is also the side strategy but I didn't see it for a while (just clears edges)  or a mix of the two.  Hc guild do something which seems a mix between mid and your graph (don't think I can post the pic for it as it's not mine).
But eventually this matters only for pug groups if that movement works for your group keep it.  The only thing is regardless you cannot keep it always exactly in the middle due to poison respawn time

Biggest issue you are going to have, aside how the service is structured and its chat system,  is the lack of Windows phone support

commander is used to remove the revenant from the group so you could be fine without it if the mesmer is commander (not all pieces need to be commander to reach max boon duration).

survivability is not useful in pve raid: it's not spvp or wvw, your survivability comes from positioning (also healing is based on this stay on group or your druid won't be able to do much), dodges and proper use of your skills which can be easily predicted, without min/maxing i see it hard to pass through gorseval.

For example DH have really bad hp pool yet they can stay alive through a clever use of their skillset. Sometimes even more easily than a war.

Armor - all ascended (except underwater mask), mainly zerk with one part of armor being Leftpaw's (I've crafted it all some time ago, probably can change just need to know for which insignia)
Best would be to change to zerk (zealoth is another valid choice if lacking healing but then you would have to change all and might not be the best for fractal, magi is a cheap choice), if you don't want to spec for condi. for  SP one of the most effective team compo is 4-2-4 (PS, DRUID, TEMPEST, NECRO (can replace some with dh (i've seen also chrono working well) for reflect, usually the necro))x2 + revenant chrono and the druid can go condi (viper) (zerk:, condi (it's gaining some ground in the raid community but it's a bit advanced toward the group itself):  ).
for SV 7 2 1 (1/2ps, 2 condi, 2/3 tempest; rev+chrono, healer (usually druid)) is still used a lot or 3 3 2 1 (ps, tempest, condi; rev+chrono (tank, tanking is usually given to druid and/or necro on gorseval and sabetha); healer (usually druid))

yes probably but you would be getting more damage out of condi duration and precision than vitality (which really is not much important => remember you've an healer, and there are professions much weaker on that side which can easily hold themselves with no vitality)
Notice also these build are well tested already and allow to reach these times: (yes they didn't cc me in time >_>)

i've only 3 accounts with commander tag and one is in NA so i wouldn't be able to cover regardless all positions, and in the accounts without commander tag i don't even have HoT, so no mentor either. Nice try but to the limits possible to me wouldn't change much :P

Gathering runs work like this first you go to the north wp ocean's gullet wp and run through the path to the jp and do the jp, then flamefrog waypoint go to the cave with the spider and kill it, then aleem's waypoint for that flying champion and then the troll, last one is the shark again at ocean's gullet. You gather through the way: troll spider and the jp have nice rich nodes near them. You can take some time to do the event near tequatl spawn (it gives champion bags if you upscale it). This should give best throughput in less time as you've a zerg which can finish champions fast.

Also this run allows repeat so practically you can continue ad infinitum. So there is no upper or lower limit of it. you've x time you can do as much as you can with that x time and then cut it. Practically similar to what we do with TD.

But this isn't exactly the run i do in the morning as i cannot afford soloing champions i usually do only the jp part then run through the south erratically. This can take up to 15-20 mins depending how many nodes and how spread i want to do the search (as i chase not rich/fixed nodes as well this way). The jp part is no more than 5 mins when losing time with the cauliflowers.

i can give you a way to get out of that problem giving people a way to use that time and as an incentive to get org fast.
Unfortunately it means sacrifice from commanders (or multiple accounts)

practically commander stay on spot and another commander does the gathering run: i see people already doing it from psdh so essentially it's giving an org to stuff people already do to pass the time

So today I did a gathering run on sparkly fen before tequatl spawn got like 2x the gold than the liquid gold from tequatl in gathered mats. If it was organized including the champion which protect some of that gathering would probably be even better returns. (15min)
