Darkward's Special Naked Triple Trouble Wurm Event Night (Summer Edition)
DSNTTWEN for short

We thought it would be a great idea to do another naked wurm attempt before the summer really starts and people start going on holidays or leave their basement to adventure outdoors. So mark your calendar for another special evening of nakedness.

Maybe this time we'll succeed with the Triple Trouble Wurm and be world's first guild to do the event naked!
We've came so close to decapping all 3 wurm heads, so I'm sure we'll be able to do it this time. Since this kind of event require more communication we want EVERYONE on teamspeak, so it would be great if you can help us to persuade the random players to join teamspeak (PSDH members should be on TS by default).

Date: Wednesday June 24th
Teamspeak: ts.psdh.eu (no pass)

First Event
What: Sacrificing our bodies for God Tequatl
When: 20:00 (CEST) - MORE TIMES
Where: Sparkfly Fen

Second Event
What: Scaring Triple Trouble Wurm with our naked bodies
When: 21:15 (CEST) - MORE TIMES
Where: Bloodtide Coast (Tyria)

More Info
For those who've never done this type of event with PSDH. Here's what's going to happen.
  • Remove all your armor till you're stripped to your underwear
  • (Optional) Put on a funny hat (eg. fuzzy panda hat)
  • ? ? ? ?
  • Profit

What to bring!
General
Positive attitude and a good dose of humor!
Even thou we will do our best to bring these events to a success, there's a high(er) chance of failing. We don't want  people who participated being angry with us if we do fail.

Sharpening Stones
Or if you have the recipe you can make Bountiful Sharpening Stone for yourself.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Weaponsmith#Nourishment

Consumables
Without armor we'll lose some of our much needed damage. It would be great if everyone can get their hands on some consumables like Fire Elemental Powder, Orge Pet Whistle, Deployable Mortar Kits and Healing Seed Pods.

For information on where to get these consumables, please look at the guide over at Dulfy http://dulfy.net/2013/01/16/gw2-useful-and-fun-consumables-guide/#16

Technical Support and Suggestions / Guide to Teamspeak
« on: April 09, 2015, 10:34:25 AM »
Installing Teamspeak

Connecting to the PSDH server
  • Open Teamspeak client via start menu or desktop shortcut
  • The first time you will get a wizard to setup audio output and microphone. You can skip the microphone part if you don't plan on talking. Always try to use the Push-To-Talk option unless you know how to set up voice activation properly.
  • In the top menu choose Connections -> Connect (Ctrl+S)
  • Server address: ts.psdh.eu
  • Nickname: <Your Nickname or In-game name>
  • Server Password: <leave empty>
  • Press Connect to enter the server

Notice: If you're not planning on talking, please mute your microphone by going to Self -> Mute Microphone, so you don't accidentally transmit sounds.

Teamspeak Sounds/Notifications
You can disable select or all teamspeak notifications by going to:
Settings -> Options -> Notifications

To disable all sounds (might need to restart TS)
Sound pack: Sounds deactivate

Teamspeak OverWolf
If you find the Overwolf Feature in teamspeak annoying, you can follow these steps to get rid of it:

Remove the icon from users
  • Go into Settings -> Options -> Design
  • Uncheck "Display Overwolf icons on client" and press OK

Remove Overwolf main icon from toolbar
  • Right click anywhere on the toolbar and press "customize toolbar"
  • In the right box select "install overwolf" and press the left arrow to move it.

Whisper Lists
When you fulfil a certain role during an event (eg. Condi or Diboof on Tri-Wurm), you might want to directly communicate with your teammates without having everyone else hearing you. This can be done by setting up a whisper list in your teamspeak client.

In the following example we setup a whipser list for Eggsterminators, but you can easily set it up for something else by choosing a different server group:
  • Go into Settings -> Options -> Whisper and press the "Whisper lists" button
  • Create a new whisper list by pressing on the "new" button in the bottom left corner
  • Choose a hotkey (the key to press when you want to whisper) and give the list a name
  • Whisper to: Groups
  • Group Whisper Type: Server Group / Community Teamspeak / Eggsterminator
  • Group Whisper Target: Current Channel

News & Announcements / PSDH Membership Handbook
« on: February 17, 2015, 08:00:54 PM »
Hello fellow PSDH guildies!

PSDH exists now for about 1,5 year and in the last few months we've seen a big influx in new members, which is super awesome. Unfortunately with more members in our guild it increases the chance of players not getting along or thing going out of control. This got me thinking about updating our current rules and ended in writing the PSDH Membership Handbook.

PSDH has never been a guild with an endless list of rules and - don't worry -  we'll never be.

Over the last few weeks the PSDH coordinators and commanders have written and reviewed the handbook and today we bring it to the public. Not much has changed in regards to the old rule-set, but this time we also documented the things which we first took for granted and went more in-depth about thinks like guild ranks and raiding.

We hope you all agree with everything we have put in the handbook, if you have questions or you're missing something please tell us so we can add it.

The handbook can be found by clicking on "PSDH Membership" in the top menu or by visiting the "PSDH Membership Handbook" sub-forum.

PSDH Membership Handbook / PSDH Membership
« on: February 17, 2015, 07:27:21 PM »
PSDH Membership
Welcome at the frontpage of the PSDH membership handbook. Here you'll find all the information you need to know about PSDH regarding, guild etiquette, guild ranks, events/raids and more!

What is PSDH?
PSDH is an acronym for Piken Square Dragon Hunters! We are an alliance guild focused on running organized world boss kills for both casual and hardcore players. This means most of our members have PSDH as a secondary guild only for doing these big events, which require many people and a high level of coordination.

PSDH was founded on the server Piken Square - by DKAL members Kirmu and Gruumsh - in September 2013 with the idea to create an alliance between all small guilds on Piken Square to frequently create organized Tequatl runs.

When ArenaNet released the Triple Trouble Wurm world boss a new guild was created on Piken Square - by Enigma members Darkward and Kill Them All - named Natural Alliance. This guild had the same philosophy as PSDH but only focused on organizing runs for Triple Trouble Wurm.

PSDH and NA decided it would be best for Piken Square server to have only one big world boss guild organizing all events. Since PSDH had more members we merged Natural Alliance with Piken Square Dragon Hunters, making Kirmu and Darkward the new guild leaders.

While our main focus was to create alliances between guild, in time this has grown and now PSDH is a stand-alone world boss guild which also accepts individual members. With the megaserver feature we crossed borders and started to accept players who are not based Piken Square. We continue to welcome small/medium guilds as well as individuals to join us.

Our core principle stays the same; Whether you're a casual or hardcore player. PSDH organizes events for EVERYONE!

PSDH Membership Handbook / Raiding with PSDH
« on: February 17, 2015, 07:18:37 PM »
Raiding with PSDH

When is PSDH doing events and/or raids?
Please refer to our schedule for when which events and raids are organized.

Can I join a PSDH event/raid while not being a PSDH member?
Of course you can! Our TeamSpeak is open for all Guild Wars 2 players, so hop on TeamSpeak and join the event/raid channel. Teamspeak information can be found at the top right side of our website.

I have never done the event/raid before?
Our members and commanders are always willing to help you out and explain the event before it starts.

Why do I need to join TeamSpeak?
The reason we use TeamSpeak is to make communication between our members much simpler and faster. If you’re not careful the game will suppress anyone who types a lot in chat and squad chat is limited to only 50 players. By utilizing voice chat our commanders are able to give commands much faster than by having to type everything (and without the chance of being suppressed halfway through an event).

We can also determine the amount of players paying attention by looking at the number of people in the TeamSpeak channels. Don't mute TeamSpeak audio as you will be kicked from the event channels and potentially miss out of the event.

We only require you to be listening on TeamSpeak, unless you’re playing a role which requires talking.

How are events/raids organized?
Before an event/raid starts the following will happen:
  • 1 hour before event: Whispers are send out to all online members who are not representing PSDH at that moment (a message will also be sent out in guild chat)
  • 30 minutes before event: Jump into the event map - the jump will be coordinated on TeamSpeak
  • After the jump, commanders will find a suitable (almost empty) map instance
  • When an instance has been chosen, taxis will be offered on TeamSpeak
You can check which map instance you are on by using the "/ip" command in the chat window. This will give you the server IP. The commanders' chosen server IP will be placed in the TeamSpeak event channel name. If you are on a different instance you will need a taxi.

"Taxi" is the name for switching from one map instance to another. Use the "/join" command to join someone’s party, right click their party icon at the left side of your screen and then choose "Join at [map name]". People already in the map will put their "/join <character_name>" in TeamSpeak chat for you to copy.

If you get a message saying the map is full, you will have to keep trying because sometimes the server can be throttled due to the amount of people joining in a small period. Taxi-ing people after the jump is never a guarantee that you will get into the same map but we will do our best to find a map which appears to be empty. If you are online at the time we jump then you are far more likely to be able to participate than if you log in 5 minutes before the event starts!

Am I allowed to go AFK?
Do not go AFK unless you really have to. Make sure you are not AFK when the jump is about to happen. If you do go AFK, make sure you are stacked on the commander. Do not AFK near the Hylek turrets during Tequatl or the waypoint during Triple Trouble Wurm.
You should be back 10~15 minutes before the event starts, because for some events the commanders will do a walkthrough. If you must afk and you are performing a designated role in the event please let your party and the commander / coordinator know via an in-game whisper or TeamSpeak message, with an indication of when you will be back.

PSDH Membership Handbook / Guild Ranks and Purge
« on: February 17, 2015, 07:05:05 PM »
Guild Ranks and Purge
General information about each guild rank and what happens during the (bi-)monthly guild purge.

PSDH Guild Ranks
The following guild ranks are available in PSDH that you need to be aware of as a member:
  • Leader - Head of the guild
  • Coordinator - These are the PSDH Coordinators. If you have any issues with a member or commander, you can contact a coordinator to sort things out
  • Commander - These are the Raid Commanders. If you have any general questions, you can contact a commander
  • Dragon Hunter - Rank for active members
  • Frog Hunter - Rank for inactive members
  • Prospect - First rank for new members before they’re verified on TeamSpeak

Guild Rep Check Policy
As described in the PSDH Etiquette, all members should represent PSDH during official PSDH events. Every one or two months we will change the rank of all members to “Frog Hunter”. To maintain an active status in PSDH, you will have to attend at least one raid per month whilst representing PSDH. Every raid you attend you should try to represent PSDH, for two reasons:
  • Even though PSDH is not a regular guild, we still need influence for upgrades, buffs, banners, etc.
Since PSDH is organising these raids we would like our name to be out there for recognition. When players join the map and see a bunch of PSDH tags, we want them to know that they are on a fun and organised server. They might then wish to join us which grows the community!
  • During PSDH raids the coordinators and commanders will check who are representing PSDH and attending the raid and will swap their rank from "Frog Hunter" to "Dragon Hunter" if needed. Raid time is from when we enter one of the event channels on TeamSpeak (e.g. Tequatl, TT-Wurm, Guild Missions, etc.) till we leave the channel.
If you did attend a raid while representing and your status did not get changed please contact one of the coordinators or commanders on TeamSpeak to help you out.  Make sure to include which raid you were attending and which commanders were leading the raid. If you feel your status was set back to "Frog Hunter" in error, please do the same.

Before the next purge phase (every one or two months), all members who have the "Prospect" or "Frog Hunter" rank will be removed from the guild. Anyone who got removed from the guild is free to resubmit an application to rejoin PSDH.

"Dragon Hunter" rank, what does it mean?
The "Dragon Hunter" rank is used to see which members are active in PSDH. You only have to join one raid whilst representing PSDH after each purge phase to have your rank set back to "Dragon Hunter". This is done to ensure PSDH only contains active members.

How do I get the "Dragon Hunter" rank?
To have your rank changed to "Dragon Hunter" is pretty simple:
  • Represent PSDH during official raids
  • Be in the related raid channel on TeamSpeak
During raids coordinators and commanders will check the guild roster and promote everyone who fulfils these two requirements.

If after a raid your rank was not changed, please contact one of the commanders or coordinators on TeamSpeak and give them information about the raid you joined and which commanders were organizing the event. They will gladly help you out.

What if I cannot represent PSDH because of my 100% rep guild?
If you cannot represent PSDH then, depending on the numbers, we will either implement a unique rank for these members or during each purge phase you will be required to send an in-game mail to a commander or coordinator.

Why has my rank been changed to "Frog Hunter"!
When a new purge phase starts all members with the "Dragon Hunter" rank will be set back to the "Frog Hunter" rank.

What happens during the Purge?
The purge phase is a monthly/bimonthly event in which guild maintenance is done to clean up any members who are deemed inactive in PSDH.
  • One week before the purge all guild invites are put on hold
  • The day the purge starts:
    • All pending guild invites are removed
    • All members with ranks "Prospect" or "Frog Hunter" are removed from the guild
    • All members with the rank "Dragon Hunter" are set to "Frog Hunter"
If you were removed from the guild during a purge, you may always send a new guild application to rejoin PSDH.

PSDH and You!

How do I become a PSDH member?
Easy! Just fill in the application form on our website (link) and once your request has been processed you will receive a guild invite and an in-game welcome mail.

By applying for PSDH we automatically assume you have read and agree with the PSDH Etiquette.

When will my application be processed?
Normally we aim to process guild applications within a few hours (max. 2 days), with exception of when a purge is coming up, then it can take up to one week. If you have not received a guild invite after one week, you will have to re-submit your application.

What are the minimum requirements for joining PSDH?
See the "Minimum Requirements" section in the PSDH Etiquette.

What do I get for joining PSDH?
  • Fun and laughter
  • Friendly and helpful community to hang-out with
  • Organised events/raids (including crappy loot from big chests)

PSDH Membership Handbook / PSDH Etiquette
« on: February 17, 2015, 06:40:10 PM »
PSDH Etiquette
This document contains a quick  intro to some of the PSDH rules and requirements. More information can be found in the PSDH Membership thread.

Minimum Requirements
PSDH is a casual "raid alliance" guild. At our foundation are the group of small guilds that came together to take on the "larger" world content (e.g. Tequatl, Triple Trouble Wurm), they each wished to maintain their own identities but recognised the benefits of a unified guild community, allowing us to serve a large and wide variety of players.

To facilitate our events with the minimum of fuss we request that you follow the minimal set of requirements listed here.  Essentially PSDH has only two requirements:
  • During any official PSDH events you should always try to represent PSDH. This is for many reasons, including but not limited to; event coordination, communication with fellow PSDH members and being able to assist one another, thereby building a greater community for everyone. If you are already part of a guild that requires 100% representation then we can make exceptions on an individual basis, however this may cause complications for your membership status due to the limited guild management tools available (see Guild Ranks and Purge).
  • You must join the PSDH TeamSpeak server (ts.psdh.eu) during official PSDH events - even if it’s just to listen in - as it makes organizing events easier for coordinators and commanders, but it’s also great for a bit of chit chat and fun.  As a PSDH member this requirement is mandatory for all official events/raids (see Raiding with PSDH)
PSDH is an international guild, however all our communication on TeamSpeak (voice comms), guild chat and website is handled in English.

Core Values and Culture
Friendly, Helpful and Positive Attitude
  • PSDH was founded on a communal effort to bring players together to get (world boss) events done that they may not have been able to do by themselves or without any organisation.
  • We believe in positive thinking and keeping up good morale. Only the best things come from this attitude. Whether it’s picking ourselves up after being beaten or just general banter. That said, we are always open to criticism and feedback, there is a difference between constructive criticism and feedback, and just being an outright jerk.
  • PSDH is not one person. Teamwork is what makes a community. All members should listen, respect and help each other, it is especially important to listen to the commanders, coordinators and leaders.

Unacceptable Behaviour
Negativity and Harassment
  • As mentioned, we wish to promote positive attitudes. Any kind of negativity towards any other player is NOT acceptable, and will be dealt with swiftly.
  • We do not tolerate any kind of harassment. We want everyone to feel welcome in PSDH and have a good time. Harassment includes, but is not limited to; bullying, name calling, making fun of, racism, sexism, elitism, etc. Similarly, any form of harassment will be dealt with swiftly.
If you have an issue with a PSDH member, please contact one of the coordinators or commanders.

General Chat / Forum activity
« on: February 02, 2015, 11:13:11 AM »
The PSDH forum is pretty quiet since there are only a handful of members who visit them. We want to change this!

If you have idea's, suggestions or comments on how we can make the PSDH forum even (more) awesome and attract more members to participate. Post them in this topic so we can discuss them.

News & Announcements / Wintersday / Christmas / New Years Break
« on: December 18, 2014, 09:27:48 AM »
It’s been a huge year for PSDH, for both leaders and members (finally completed the Triple Trouble event *yeey*). With the Christmas and New Year coming up, PSDH will be taking a break between the 23rd of December and 3rd of January. This will mean that there will be no SCHEDULED events during this two week period. However, feel free to still hop on teamspeak as there will most likely be leaders out and about organizing things.

Last Run of the Year
The final PSDH run of the year will be held on the 22nd of December, to commemorate this past year we  want to have some extra fun and therefor we have decided to do a special naked Tequatl and TTWurm run the 'Darkward Special Naked Run' (and no, the name was not my idea).

So, get naked and join us on teamspeak December 22nd at 19:00UTC for some great fun and laughter.

Hope to see you there!

UPDATE:
Thanks everyone who joined the naked fun. Hopefully everyone had a great time, I know I had :D Videos and screenshots will be posted later.

News & Announcements / PSDH Meeting 25/11 - Meeting Notes
« on: November 26, 2014, 05:10:32 PM »
Summary of the PSDH guild meeting from November 25th

Different roles during events
We see that most of the time it's the same people picking up the same roles (mainly at TT Wurm). It would be great if we can get more people motivated to learn different roles, so everyone can rotate and maybe do another wurm head once in a while.

If you want to learn a new role, just roll in on the character you want to use and talk to the people whom you wish to join. Doesn't matter if you're new to it, they'll be happy to help you out and instruct you on what to do. More about this below.

Mentoring Program
To extend on the story above about learning new roles. We want to setup a mentoring program. Basically this will be a list on the forums with all mentors on it and which roles they can help with. If you wish to learn a new role you can send these players a whisper or mail (at all times, doesn't have to be during an event) and they'll help you out with everything that's needed for the role (gear, traits, skills, food, etc..).

The mentoring program will include roles for both TT Wurm and Tequatl and will also feature Commanders. Currently we have about 3 main comanders for TT Wurm and 3 backups. It would be great if we can expand this, so the commanders can also take a break once in a while ;). Same goes here as for the other roles, just send a whisper or mail to the commander you wish to help out and he/she will take you under his/her wings.

Private Wurm spawn with TSO and DVDF
If you can't get enough of doing the TT Wurm event, you're in luck! We've added Thursday to the rotation. This will be a private spawn in combination with the guilds TSO and DVDF. You will not be limited to the wurm PSDH is doing, you're free to join one of the other heads.

Because this will be a private spawn, it will only be activated if there are enough people on teamspeak. But sure to join it (as stated in our rules "Teamspeak is king").

The teamspeak that we will be using for this event will be the GW2Community teamspeak: ts.gw2community.com

News & Announcements / Guild Meeting, Nov 25
« on: November 18, 2014, 12:21:49 PM »
PSDH is now a little more then 1 year old (September 2013), so we thought it would be a good idea to have a guild meeting to discuss some things about the guilds future, new ideas and anything else which may come around.

When: Tuesday, November 25th at 20:00UTC / 21:00CET
Where: PSDH Teamspeak (ts.psdh.eu)
Who: Every PSDH member may join, whether you've just joined PSDH or are one of the veteran members who's been around since ever. We value everyone's input."

If you are unable (or just don't want) to talk on teamspeak, you can still join the discussion by using guild chat.

Meeting agenda will be made during the week. If you have something you'd like to discuss, feel free to reply in this topic or send me an in-game mail and it'll be added to the agenda.
