General Chat / Re: PSDH wurm runs - respectful members

Was it the guy with the blue comm tag on(ranger taller than mine male name began with C, can't quite remember it but I know I would recognise it if I saw his name again)? There were 9 of us doing deboof on cobalt last night.

That would be Cotecka, he lead the DPS team on Cobalt.

On the second run I know we had Evan Lionheart (I think?) joining as the second eggsterminator, can't remember the name of the first player. All I remember that it was an Asura.

Please Gruumsh, we all know we only came this far because you were with us on Cobalt on the second attempt :D

But yes, everyone has been doing an amazing job at everything. Our community is slowly growing with players who have the same mindset as us and that's what we need. Once ArenaNet releases a new big world even we'll be ready for it and we'll compete for the "Worlds First Kill" title!

Again I would like to thank everyone who's been helping us, whether it be members who've been with us since the beginning or members who joined us for a first time last week.

Without you there wouldn't be a PSDH! Just some lonely players trying to do stuff.

Sorry I couldn't make this one, it's rare that I can participate in events on Wednesdays :(

Too bad you missed it! The event was a great success, we've never been this close to finishing the event. Only Cobalt had about 2% HP left, Amber and Crimson where fully killed.

Thanks again everyone who made this possible, I'm sure we'll kill it next time!

Would it be possible to report people when they keep on ranting like this about a guild? I mean it's not a one time thing, the guy from last night keep going and going.

The possibility to block husk is known for some time, but ArenaNet classified this as an exploit. So we refrain from using this method as we don't want to get our instance closed or people getting banned.

Might be. Just trying to keep the momentum going. After this we can organize it on the weekends if it's really shitty.

Yes thanks everyone for joining! I had to leave as soon as we were finished last night, so not enough time to thank everyone properly.

From what I heard is that we did a full run today as well, which is super great to hear! Let's hope we can keep this momentum and can keep the people coming in. We should try to organize a serious run again in one or two weeks.

General Chat / Re: larger PSDH

So you're saying that we need to start looking for small guilds who wants to join our alliance for the mega events. I agree with that. What we need is to discuss ways of recruiting them so we  won't recruit the wrong guilds.

Yes, an other point would be to really make clear to those guilds that we're not trying to take their individual guild identity away. Joining PSDH has always been (will stay) optional. If you like what we do and want to get more involved, join us otherwise  just make sure you're on teamspeak for information, taxies, ect..

Having guild leaders/officers join and collaborate with PSDH is basically how PSDH began. The original idea was so when an event was about to be organized a whisper would be send out to the people in PSDH and they would relay this information to the guildies in their main guild(s). Either by whisper or guild chat. Since the megaserver release this mechanic has faded away since lots of people who want to do events with us are in PSDH.

It's up to the people in guilds to motivate their fellow guildies to come hang out with us for Tequatl and Wurm. Reason? Dunno, maybe because we're awesome? What I personally do when we have new players join Enigma. I have a talk with them telling them what [Eni] is about and then continue to tell that we're allied with PSDH for big work events like Teq and Wurm. Most of the time when they hear about that they're fairly excited and plan to join PSDH for one of its events.

I think we should go back to our roots and try to get in contact with small guilds who want to do big events with the guild but don't have enough people. Recruiting single players is nice, but I have the feeling that most of them join for one or two events and then be in-active.  This might not be the case for people who contact us after events.

About the wurm. I think most people in PSDH are with us because of Tequatl and they don't feel like doing the wurm. Probably due to various reasons (mainly because they have to work for loot). For the wurm we need A LOT more active people (unlike Teq where you can do it with full PUG) who're motivated, be pro-active and most important join teamspeak.

Biggest problem - I think - is awareness. When we do Tequatl lots of people know who we are and how we roll. This isn't the case with the Wurm. We need to think of something to easily create awareness and motivate people to join us do to the wurm.

---

This isn't really about a larger PSDH. It's about having PSDH with motivated people. We have 220+ people in the guild of which only a handful are active. Currently we're busy preparing another big guild cleanup which will happen the first week of September. If you don't want to be purged, make sure to represent PSDH during events.
