News & Announcements / Re: [ANN] Winter Schedule Available
« on: October 28, 2019, 07:45:15 PM »
Hello guildies,

As you know we recently had a guild meet about the new schedule and the guild in general. During the night I (Nova) have taken minutes, so without further ado, here they are:

- We should pay Cori 20x more for leading the raid group. (Agreed 20x0=0)

- Moarrr Dhuum.

- The summer weekend event schedule clashes with lunchtime.

- When Anet brings out a bonus week - like they did on world boss train - change the schedule to do that (for some of the days). You can combine that with for instance the Shadow Behemoth portal achievement.

- We are doing Shatterer on Thursday and after that we can see if anyone wants to do a fractal or dungeon, or some story achievements. Note: Actively use guild chat.

- We have 2 members who expressed that they want to try commanding for PSDH. Guild Leaders will contact them about this.

- Dark posed the question: How can we better engage new guildies? The following things were suggested: Group up for strike missions, dungeons and fractals. The thursday is the designated day for that. But of course we can also ask on other days in guild chat if anyone is up for something. Guild Leaders will see how they can make this more engaging.
Also Raids was suggested. Several of us (leaders and members) noted that raids are hard for us to organise in a way that everyone can participate. This is why we do not organise a group ourselves. We did however organise raid training over last years Wintersday break. The people remaining from that group are raiding on fridays, led by Cori. Jari and Nova some weeks still join that group to helpout if they are low on numbers. Cori notes that if people are interested to join the raid on friday night, they are free to contact him. He will then see if there are spots available to join in that week.

-It would be nice if the bot in discord would also send out a weekly schedule, for instance on monday afternoon. Dark will look into the options available for that.

- It would be nice if we had a LFG channel on discord (perhaps linked to website too?) where people can post in advance that they want to do dungeons/fractals/strike mission/raids/achievs on a later moment. Other guildies can then sign up to join them. Dark will look into available options.

- Can the bot send out automatic patch notes after an update? Yes it can, and it now does! Dark adjusted it during the meet.

- The bot in discord could have a seperate channel. Dark states that the lobby is ment for gw2 and guild related stuff, so it is sort of a separate channel. He will keep an eye out though after all adjustments are done. If it gets too much he will see about a separate channel.

- It is possible to have the next guild meet in the weekend? We will take it into consideration when we plan for the next meet.

After that we talked about raids, the change in build templates and Halloween amongst other things  ;)

To do Guild Leaders:
- Look into the several above mentioned changes for the discord bot.
- Talk to the commander volunteers.
- Calculate Cori's payrise into expenses.

A special thanks to those of you that were attending the guild meet on Teamspeak and also to those that were not able to be there, but shared their ideas with us.

Events / PSDH Magnificant Murderous Mob Mayhem Massacre
« on: October 13, 2019, 05:04:52 PM »
Hellooo PSDH \o/

It is autumn time, that means leaves are falling, it is getting colder outside and the undead are rising from their graves.

It also means it is time for our annual PSDH Halloween party; PSDH Magnificant Murderous Mob Mayhem Massacre. Of course we did our best again to sort out a fun evening with some PSDH classics like; The Scary Short Story Competition, Darkward Says and a visit to Steve and Bob. But we will also have some new murderous things thought up for you lot. No PSDH Halloween party is complete without a mysterious murder.

As usual we will have some nice SHINIES to win in the events 8)

The evening starts at 19:30(UK)/20:30(EU) on 31st October 2019
Throughout the evening we will say spooky words that will count towards a Halloween bingo, listen carefully to win :).

We will start the night off with a game of Darkward says. Listen to your glorious leader and obey, but only if he says "Darkward says".

When we are done obeying our leader, Shiroiki will read out the stories from the Scary Short Story Competition. PSDH members will then vote on which story they liked best!

The stories tend to get us all a bit on edge, that is why they are followed by some good old fashioned costume brawl. Last person standing wins (brawl items will be provided to keep it fair, no executioners axes allowed).

After that we will engage in murderous games. Who will be the killer creeping amongst our members? Find out fast, before you are the next victim!

As is tradition the night will be closed by farming the labyrinth for Halloween goodies.

Start time: 19:30(UK)/20:30(EU) - 31st October 2019
Please make sure you are in the Guildhall before the event starts.
As for all our events, there will be a special channel available on Teamspeak.

Scary Short Story Competition
This classic has caused many commanders a sleepless night. This year we will test your skills again and see who of you can most creatively kill of our commanders in your scary story.

The PSDH Halloween Scary Short Story Competition (PSDHHSSSC) guidelines are very simple so please make sure you follow them before submitting:
- you may submit one scary short story of 400 words maximum
- the story involves PSDH commanders/leaders (for extra points)
- submit the story to Nova via Discord (or the website in a personal message if you don’t use Discord) on or before the deadline 17:00(UK)/18:00(EU) 31st October 2019
all entries must be original work from the author themselves
- include your GW2 account name (Example.1234) so that we can reward you if you win!
- the story is suitable for all ages (PG13)

We will read out the short stories during the PSDH Halloween event on 31st October 2019 and will be voted on by the PSDH members in attendance at the event. (You don't have to be there as a writer, it is more fun though!)

Remember the story deadline is 31st October 2019 at 17:00(UK)/18:00(EU)! Good luck!

We do have the option for it in Guild Hall, but not in open world sadly. There is a memorial at the waterfall in the back of the Guild Hall, not far from the waypoint there.

I think reading up on Escort and Cairn would be a good plan, they are frequent ones :)

Hey,

That is a very annoying problem! Unfortunatly I have no idea what to do except for stalking their costumer service to help you fix it. From my experience (working at complaints departments of different companies) it does help to try to reach out, also on social media / reddit if the regular way doesn't fix it. Companies do care about their online image and you might find someone who can offer a different solution.

I would also advise to ask in our Discord server, you will reach more people that way and perhaps find someone who has a more clear solution.

Hope to see you back online soon <3

P.S. I checked your status, you are still Dragon Hunter

Awesome :D

So I made a small schedule for people who I think might arrive by public transport. If you need help or picking up let us know, preferably few together ofcourse and not to far of a drive (I've driven all the way from NL by then ;) )

Some traditional Dutch New Years Eve cookies:

WILL NEED THIN WAFFLE IRON

Kniepertjes/nieuwjaarsrolletjes:

500g flower
500g sugar
250g butter
3 eggs
about 1 cup of water (add till it's sticky but not runny)

Mix the batter together and put about a tablespoon in the iron, close and bake till it starts browning. Roll them while still hot, with the handle of a wooden spoon on a cutting board. If they've cooled too much they are hardened and won't roll anymore. You can also leave them flat.

If you have rolled them you can now fill them with whipped cream (I advise tube or spray can for easy fill).
