Events / Re: [POLL] Thusday night: March 5
« on: March 05, 2015, 09:38:39 AM »
Last night, me and some of my guildies cam up with perhaps another interesting idea to do on a thursday night, or maybe just after a normal Teq/TT run. What we had in mind was doing a raid of Southsun Cove and farm materials and Karka Shels. And off course, to keep it in the spirit of PSDH, we could give it a little twist like we did when doing the Mad King's Labyrith raid durning last Haloween.

So, what about it, I think it would be fun to see Karka's face a full raiding zerk.

Me and several guildies of mine are interested in doing the Aetherpath of TA as we still need this to complete the dungeon. So, I would also be interested in joining a grouped attempt for the Aetherpath. However, this friday will not be possible for me.

At what time do we start our Silverwastes raid tonight? I would like to suggest 19:30 UTC/GMT / 20:30 CET.

Like the ideas you posted Gem in addition to Dry Top/Silverwastes, especially the jumping puzzle idea, fits the general goal of PSDH very well in helping people out with things, and jumping puzzles can be challenging to many of us. Perhaps we could also team up in smaller groups/parties and do dungeons/fractals to help oneanother out.

I agree with Dark that WvW will be difficult to organise due to the multi-world make up of PSDH.

April 1 would be a nice way to kick off our Naked efforts on TT. And I fully agree on keeping it at once a month to ensure that special feeling associated with it doesn't wear off. This is also what Gem and I had come up with in the first place.

Also like the other ideas you posted Gem in addition to Dry Top/Silverwastes, especially the jumping puzzle idea, fits the general goal of PSDH very well in helping people out with things, and jumping puzzles can be challenging to many of us. Just had some chats with Gem en Akuma tonight on how to organise the Naked TT event. Initial thoughts are to do this once a month on the regular Thursday TT Wurm spot (20:00 UTC). Akuma is happy to join us with some others from her RNG guild to improve on the numbers needed to pull this off. If any of you have additional thoughts on this subject please post them here so we can gather them and maybe discuss them here or on TS to get this on the road.

+ All female commanders?

Just my thoughts as well. I think we should try that also, and come with as many female characters as possible

Triple Trouble Wurm / Starting up serious attempt(s) for Naked TT Wurm?
« on: February 18, 2015, 02:18:10 PM »
Just thought I would start a topic to see if there is interrest in organising some serious trying to bring down the TT Wurm on a naked run. Giving the fun we had on the Darkward Special Naked Runs before Xmas, and how far we got on those 2 attempts, I think it would be really nice to see if we can organise a full kill naked. Getting the numbers needed will perhaps be the greatest challenge to pull this off, but I would definitely like to give this some serious effort to make the first full naked TT kill.

How do you all feel about this?

Was also looking for the thumbs emoticon but setled for the smiley.

So, I just wanted to post a topic on last night's TT event, as preparation was far from being perfect with TS going down on probably the worst moment in time just before starting the walkthroughs. I have to complement everybody for staying calm and just waiting for the TS server to be up and running again, and a special complement to Dark for having it up and running again just before the event started :D.

Also I want to complement everybody who was running on my Amber crew last night, as we all did a great job giving the fact that I only had time to explain the event during the escort in the most brief form about, again excellent work guys. We had hardly any issues on Amber, even when we had to wait for Crimson to close their gap, only a few players needed to be told in say chat to leave the ABOM alone, giving me the idea that almost everybody was on TS with me, and that with 50+ people doing Amber.

Also my complements go to the other commanders and coordinators that were present, for getting their crews ready despite the down time of TS. I recall Red did his dry run on say chat, and I also saw that Darkless was doing a dry run as well.

So giving the circumstances, it was a very, very good run, and shows the progression we have made in organising these events.

What I also like personally, is how everybody is working together during the event. Over the last couple of runs, diboofs and condi's are calling out the wurms attacks during phase one, making live more easy for the commander, something that is also happening during phase 2 where attacks are also called out by Amanda. This something I am working on personally at the moment and is coming along as I have been able to spot and call out some of the phase 2 attacks when supporting Amanda, and also last night during my own commanding. OK, I don't spot every attack right, but I feel much more confident with this then a couple of weeks back. Thanks again Amanda and also Storm who was helping out during some of my runs as well.

So lets keep up this great spirit and work that make up PSDH.

Welcome to PSDH, and glad you liked running with us on TT wurm. You joined on the private spawn last Thursday if I recall correctly. Hope seeing you around on my and fellow commanders squads in the future.

General Chat / Re: Forum activity
« on: February 03, 2015, 10:49:13 AM »
Hi all,

Just some ideas that slipped my mind yesterday. Maybe we can do something like the fussyhats lottery on the forum as well.

As we all enjoyed the naked runs a lot and talked about doing this more seriously to attempt to fully kill the TT wurm, we could use the forum to organise this. In addition, we could schedule a "fun" run every now and then (for instance once every month) and give it a theme, like a all warrior/all mesmer/all guardian/all Char/all human etc etc. The forum would be an ideal place for members to put forward themes and maybe use a poll to chose the theme for that month.

We could also use the forum more to discuss how to further refine tactics, as most of the time a lot of people leave shortly after the event finished to do things with their other guilds.

You are right, Amanda, but the screen from Nova is from the first run, where both Amber and Crimson are decapitated and Cobalt just missed. Health bars of the Amber and Crimson are just refilling before the heads will surface, which we just missed out on.

But definitely worth some serious trying naked runs to get to phase 2 and maybe even a full kill. I think we may actually pull it off with enough people.
