P.s. Your minions dying of natural causes does indeed trigger Death Nova. Minions don't have a "duration" they just constantly lose health until they die. So if you can keep them alive, they last forever!
Even the ones from 'Rise!'? Don't they die after 25 seconds?
Fair enough, it's just that burning is the most damaging condition after fear, and it'd be a real shame to not have it in. I like running Blood Magic, it's the first trait I have penned in. Death Magic though... just for the minions? I used to run it as insurance before HoT hit, and after that I found that it wasn't really needed anymore.
Also something I forgot to mention: Corrosive Poison Cloud could be pretty good here for the initial burst, RS4 in a poison field gives you a huge stack to start with. And if you're in a mob, Epidemic would supplement it well...
I still want Dhuumfire in any condi build I make, tbh. Soul Reaping I think, is better than Death Magic (unless your minions automatically dying after their duration ends triggers the death novas).
Also fire > poison for damage anyway, and with Soul Reaping there's no reason you can't stay long in Shroud (unless you're the one being the tank in raids, in which case why the [REDACTED] are you even playing a condi?!).
Character name: Shalalalala, shalala in the morning (jokes aside it's Shalashia) Desired gift: Is a fused greatsword skin too much to ask for? other than that I'm interested in the Shadow Red and Abyss dyes (not Shadow Abyss, just Abyss). Barring that, some ascended crafting material would be good too, since I'm probably making a third set for my necro, or an alt.
We should do a raffle as well, it doesn't have the personal element that matched gifting has but could be a really nice option for people who don't necessarily have time to commit to the whole process. Shal can you organise that?
I can yes, but I think we need to set a minimum and maximum of gold value that goes into the raffle -- I'd like people to not get something worth only a copper, but at the same time throwing in a Greatsaw skin is probably far too much as well.
Hey folks, November's almost done and dusted with, and December is coming up.
And there's apparently this festive day some 25 days later where people throw presents at other people's faces (I wouldn't know, being Asian ). Which brings to mind a conversation I had with a lovely guardian of ours some months ago.
Two words: Secret Santa. Yes. Secret Santa.
We were thinking it'd be nice if the guild did something like that, where people could gift stuff to each other based on well, their preferences (and needs) in GW2. Say, someone who needs to make ascended armor could get jewelled damask patches, or even a recipe for an armor piece that saves some gold. Or perhaps you've always wanted that one legendary, and just lack a stack or two or ancient wood to make the gift for it... you get my drift.
Building on this, I was also thinking of a raffle where everyone would contribute one item of their choice, and then everyone gets to draw from the pot (excluding the item they gave, obviously)!
I can only speak for a condi Reaper, but we are incredibly good at initial bursts with Gravedigger and Soul Spiral; place a poison field (cough corrosive poison cloud cough) below us and we can deal something like 25-40 stacks of poison apparently, I've done like 25 myself but there's a better way to rack up the stacks from what I've read on GW2's subreddit. Fire fields work even better.
I personally prefer zerk Reaper (might-capped Gravedigger autoattack is best autoattack bow down to us condi plebs) but I can see the merits of a condi Reaper. Might even make Viper gear for it. Someday.
'New gal'? There are no girls on the Internet! The closest we have is a naked Dark running around the guild hall, and calling him a girl is incredibly generous!
