May have picked up an idea for the Thursday night events rotation when reading some other forums. It may be a nice challenge to speed escort one or several low(er) level charaters from somewhere to a high level area like Orr/Frostgorge Sound.

I know me, Nova, and Cada did that for some of our friends/guildies and had a lot of fun doing it.

Just a thought.

I was leveling my new [REDACTED] in Bloodtide Coast last night, would definitely be nice for some high level escorts -- can't do hero points where you need to defeat someone though, and one shot downs you. But heart quests gave quite a nice bit of exp. Went from around 9 to 15 over one night for just one map.

Welcome to PSDH, and prepare to go O_O at the Teamspeak chat at times ;)

Anyway, I don't know much about mesmer, but IIRC Assassin's gear is slightly preferred over Berserker's, as the illusions benefit from the extra precision.

Also, they are highly useful at breaking the current Defiance stacks -- I just did an Aetherpath run this morning with a bloody good one who kept interrupting the Clockheart's phasing.

General Chat / Re: Knight/Cavalier/Valkyrie build for the necromancer
« on: August 31, 2015, 11:09:08 PM »
So yeah Sabetha I confirm it is me on the official forum XD.
Therefore you know what I think about this build ^^.

Currently I'm running an ascend Cavalier / assassin gear and it is pretty fine to be honnest. I used to run zerk and honnestly the only difference I see since I switch to cavalier is that I tank like hell with almost the same DPS.
I like the idea of valkyrie though. I'll try it in exo for a while before I craft my new ascend armor (will change the assassin pieces, no need as a reaper).

Yeah, like I said I did the calculations for both builds. Base Cavalier without Shroud has about 2300-ish power:

http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?vREQJBIhNSSD90YRN4SDc44IXok7wWnvwAoBWBaZsGNLA-TxBBABfq+TaKBB4EA4lyPF1Dc1+DB8AAAA-e

While base zerk necro has 2626 without Signet of Spite (dat symmetry):

http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vREQJBIhNSSD90YRN4SDc44IXok7wWnvwAoBWBaZsGNLA-ThBBABYt/o8DgTAQe6BC4BAUp6PnpEEA-e

However, throw in the 14% bonus you get from toughness while using Shroud (when using a certain trait), and you get 2509 power, with the caveat that you need to stay in it. Zerk Necro can go up to 2721 in Shroud, however.

Ultimately, the problem with Cavalier gear is that power isn't the primary stat. If it were, it'd be a lot higher. For now, I see it as being a niche soft-tanking build -- where you can still hit hard and take hits. Given the likely-difficult nature of raids though, I think it'll come in pretty handy.

No, we won't fine you. We'll just burn you on the stake for making an app for the q-things!

Anyway, it doesn't seem to be bringing anything up, so you're safe for now.

General Chat / Knight/Cavalier/Valkyrie build for the necromancer
« on: August 11, 2015, 12:02:13 AM »
So, I've been pondering some alternative builds for the necro after taking a look at the new traitlines and the upcoming Reaper skills, and I think Berserker's may well cease to be the agreed-on necro meta for any existing power builds, if my hunch is right.

Essentially, Berserker's gear may well fly out the window because of this Death Magic trait:

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Deadly_Strength

7% of your existing toughness as damage at all times, and 14% in Death/Reaper Shroud sounds incredibly tasty. Throw in some runes that increase toughness, and you get a hell lot of damage -- and also the ability to tank physical damage thrown at you.

The only downside to using toughness in your gear would be that you lack precision or ferocity, but the latter can be solved with Death Perception, which grants 50% crit chance in Shroud, and if you're a Reaper, Decimate Defenses, which grants increasing crit chance for every stack of vuln you put on an enemy:

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Death_Perception
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Decimate_Defenses

And there's always a problem with condi damage (but a necro can toy with condis anyway). I can forsee this build getting quite some use in PvE, maybe even PvP and WvW (I have no understanding of the latter two though, so don't quote me on that).

As for Valkyrie's, it'd increase the amount of life force you have, and therefore it'd allow you to stay longer in Shroud; you'd hit for less but have longer, more consistent damage, and be more resistant to condi damage. Personally, I prefer to go in hard and burst down the enemy with everything I have in a few blows.

So, thoughts? Is anyone interested in testing it out? You'd need Runes of the Brawler, I think. I'd do it now but I still need another set of ascended armor before I decide to test it.

General Chat / Re: How to behave towards other players in a game
« on: July 23, 2015, 12:19:56 PM »
First of all, I'd like to apologize for what you've perceived. I'm just a mere grunt, but I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say nobody -- from the very top to the bottom -- has the intention to be abusive towards another player, let alone an entire map of players.

However, I can't say I agree with your points. And although you may not be back to read this, someone else who may have the same experience will -- so hopefully this clears things up.

When I first heard about your guild, it was talked about with respect. But it has changed. Now when players talk about  PSDH it is in a negative manner. And I can see why when I meet you all in GW2 events.
I have seen your commanders verbally attack other players, saying less nice things to them, talk down to them, accuse them of bad things to happen etc. You all seem like you cant pull off a successful event unless you got everyone on ts. But in all honesty, if you done the event many times.... you dont need to hear a person tell you what to do etc. You follow the horde in the end, and it will still have a good or decent outcome. :)

I've been with PSDH for two months now, and I've yet to see Khain/Jari/Nova/Gem/Red/Kaelik/Dark/Darkless engage in verbal insults in mapchat or saychat. If anything, they're always the first to stop any form of abuse on the map.

Also, with regards to the requests to get on TS, it is important. I've seen runs that failed because the zerg refused to listen to orders. It's not just about 'following the horde'. How do you know when to stop attacking abom/fill the color thingamajigs/grab kegs unless you're on TS? And when things go south, it's even worse -- players not on TS will panic. The commanders' purpose is to keep everyone focused. And there's also the influx of new players. Not everyone will know what to do each run. Sure, the experienced ones do, but how'd you know who is and who isn't?

Another thing is the way you all "claim" a map. Telling other players to leave the map cos PSDH are doing an event etc. Life dont work that way. You cant claim a map thats free for everyone etc.

We tell people to relog, not to leave the map. Relogging doesn't harm your map completion progress or farming, or whatever it is you're doing. Not relogging, however, actually harms TT wurm success rates. Less people in the map = less people on TS = smaller chance of a successful decap.

I been a gamer for 25 years now, I have a youtube channel, and recorded a run on GW2 where I did TT with PSDH. When I watched through the recording before uploading it on youtube.. I decided not to uploaded it at all. Why? Cos your guild commanders and members were verbally attacking other players. Being rude, nasty, name calling, etc. Thats not how a Guild with respect for themselves will behave towards other players. I deleted that recording, cos I didnt want it known that I was joining up with members of a Guild that behaves like that in a game. Gaming is for fun, not to get verbally abused in. When I dont game for fun, I game for work as Im a game tester. And I have yet to meet anyone carry themselves as rude as PSDH.

Now I dont know who runs this Guild, cos I simply dont have the interest to know. But somehow you all should talk amongst yourself and figure out if this is how you guys wanna come across. The respect you hold is on its way down .. fast. Such a shame since PSDH is a good guild that hold good events :)

I don't doubt you, but it's best to at least pin down when this happened. Was it last night's run? It's easier to make amends if the commanders know who to look at. You can hardly expect anything to be done without evidence, yes?

Anyway, I'd like to state once more, my regrets at your bad experience. And I'd also like to suggest coming back for another run, if this previous one was your first with us. First impressions are rarely the best to make lasting judgments on ;)
