Events / PSDH Magnificant Murderous Mob Mayhem Massacre
« Last post by Nova Lelie on October 13, 2019, 05:04:52 pm »
Hellooo PSDH \o/

It is autumn time, that means leaves are falling, it is getting colder outside and the undead are rising from their graves.

It also means it is time for our annual PSDH Halloween party; PSDH Magnificant Murderous Mob Mayhem Massacre. Of course we did our best again to sort out a fun evening with some PSDH classics like; The Scary Short Story Competition, Darkward Says and a visit to Steve and Bob. But we will also have some new murderous things thought up for you lot. No PSDH Halloween party is complete without a mysterious murder.

As usual we will have some nice SHINIES to win in the events 8)

The evening starts at 19:30(UK)/20:30(EU) on 31st October 2019
Throughout the evening we will say spooky words that will count towards a Halloween bingo, listen carefully to win :).

We will start the night off with a game of Darkward says. Listen to your glorious leader and obey, but only if he says "Darkward says".

When we are done obeying our leader, Shiroiki will read out the stories from the Scary Short Story Competition. PSDH members will then vote on which story they liked best!

The stories tend to get us all a bit on edge, that is why they are followed by some good old fashioned costume brawl. Last person standing wins (brawl items will be provided to keep it fair, no executioners axes allowed).

After that we will engage in murderous games. Who will be the killer creeping amongst our members? Find out fast, before you are the next victim!

As is tradition the night will be closed by farming the labyrinth for Halloween goodies.

Start time: 19:30(UK)/20:30(EU) - 31st October 2019
Please make sure you are in the Guildhall before the event starts.
As for all our events, there will be a special channel available on Teamspeak.

Scary Short Story Competition
This classic has caused many commanders a sleepless night. This year we will test your skills again and see who of you can most creatively kill of our commanders in your scary story.

The PSDH Halloween Scary Short Story Competition (PSDHHSSSC) guidelines are very simple so please make sure you follow them before submitting:
- you may submit one scary short story of 400 words maximum
- the story involves PSDH commanders/leaders (for extra points)
- submit the story to Nova via Discord (or the website in a personal message if you don’t use Discord) on or before the deadline 17:00(UK)/18:00(EU) 31st October 2019
all entries must be original work from the author themselves
- include your GW2 account name (Example.1234) so that we can reward you if you win!
- the story is suitable for all ages (PG13)

We will read out the short stories during the PSDH Halloween event on 31st October 2019 and will be voted on by the PSDH members in attendance at the event. (You don't have to be there as a writer, it is more fun though!)

Remember the story deadline is 31st October 2019 at 17:00(UK)/18:00(EU)! Good luck!

Swedish veteran Guild wars and Guild wars 2 player. Mostly play PvE content and WvW. In terms of commanding I've led Dragon's stand and Triple Trouble many times, as well as providing egg blocking/husk handling services for runs. Looking for ward to see how this guild works, and to be able to help out where needed!

Hi everyone!

It's that time of the year again, days are getting shorter so you spent more time behind the computer in the dark. We've taken this opportunity to revamp our schedule and try something new.

Instead of dictating exactly what events we're doing each and every day, we've split up the days in the Tyria regions. The reasoning behind this is that:
1) You don't have to be online exactly at a specific time, but can just join in half-way or leave early without feeling bad
2) Gives us more opportunity to do different events and gives you a say in what events you would like to do
3) Innovation?

The new schedule is a follow:

Monday: Latest Living Story Meta
We'll do events on and around the maps related to the latest living story achievements. Hopefully, this will get you all your achievements or anything you need.
Start time: 19:30UK/20:30EU

Wednesday: Heart of Thorns Night
Any of the events in the HoT maps; Silverwastes, Dry Top, Verdant Brink, Auric Basin, Tangled Depths, Dragons' Stand or Living Story 3 maps. Those who join us on Teamspeak will have a say in what events they would like to do.
Start time: 19:30UK/20:30EU

Thursday: Core Tyria Night
Any of the events on the core Tyria maps, but also dungeons and fractals. Those who join us on Teamspeak will have a say in what events they would like to do. Do I hear an old-school boss run coming up?
Start time: 19:30UK/20:30EU

Saturday: Path of Fire Lunch
Any of the maps added in the latest expansion and any of the Living Story 4 maps, eg; Desert Highlands, Crystal Oasis, Domain of Vabbi, Elon Riverlands, The Desolation
Start time: 11:30UK/12:30EU

Sunday: This is the only day we have a planned schedule - you will want to be on time in order to get into the map for TT
11:15UK/12:15EU - Tequatl
12:00UK/13:00EU - Taidha
12:15UK/13:15EU - Triple Trouble
13:15UK/14:15EU - Guild Missions

The new schedule will be effective Sunday, October 27

I can imagine this is a lot to take in and if you have any questions we've planned a "Guild Meeting" (on Teamspeak) where you will be able to ask us (almost) any questions regarding the schedule or guild. This meeting will be held Thursday, October the 24th. We will be available from 19:00UK/20:00EU till 21:00UK/22:00EU. Of course, you're also free to post anything below in the comments.

In order to run all these different events, we're looking for new commanders! If you're interested in running some events, send us a message and we'll set you up :)

Hopefully, y'all like what we've come up with.

- Your overlords

We do have the option for it in Guild Hall, but not in open world sadly. There is a memorial at the waterfall in the back of the Guild Hall, not far from the waypoint there.

Yea, often remembered it.
It was a touching and well run/organized ceremony.

It would nice if ArenaNet would enable it to get in-game memorial plaques.
Like a tombstone in the graveyard of Captain Greywind in Ascalon Settlement or similar.
I mean, if you go Que-Gardens, then you see that it is full of memorial park benches and I think it would just add to the place.
